Traineeships are intended as a pre-runner for Apprenticeships and are designed to enable young people who are not ready for the challenge of an Apprenticeship programme to gain baseline skills and qualifications which will enable them to access these programmes.
To start a Traineeship a young person must be a UK resident, aged 16-18 when they start the programme, be qualified below Level 3 and not currently be in other training or employment.
The core elements of a Traineeship offer are:
- Work preparation training – Employability Skills
- English & Maths Functional Skills Qualifications
- A high Quality work placement
Within Goodwin we have vacancies in the following vocational areas for Traineeships:
- Urban Gardening
- Business Administration and Customer Service
- Cafe and food preparation
These programmes are 16 weeks long and are full time.
